The Gray Kunz spoon is one of the more iconic tools in professional kitchens and has long had an almost fanatical following among chefs. The shape is specific: deeper than a standard serving spoon but shallower than a sauce spoon, with a curve and grip that sits right in the hand during cooking, plating and tasting. The perforated version shares all the same characteristics as the original but is adapted for lifting out and draining from liquid.
The hole in the handle is not decorative. It is an identification mark: when the spoon is stored handle-down in a bain-marie or spoon holder, it allows you to distinguish the perforated version from the solid one without lifting them out to look. A small detail with a practical function in a kitchen where things move fast.
Model U718. Total length 23 cm. Made in 18/10 stainless steel with a brushed finish on the handle.
