"A really solid version of a table grill or conro grill that is suitable for restaurant kitchens or the conscious home cook. Those of us who are already hooked on the table grill concept use it as a complement to sous vide to get the grilled surface on the already perfectly cooked meat, or for smaller cuts, vegetables or skewers. With its thick walls, the heat is reflected inwards instead of escaping sideways and all the temperature rises straight up. Together with a really compact charcoal, you'll get to incredible temperatures without any noticeable smoke. It's important to note, however, that all combustion converts oxygen into carbon monoxide, so grilling falls into the same category as BMX, snowball fights and James Cook's second voyage around the world, i.e. outdoor activities. With the food so close to the bed of embers, the liquids drip down into the coals and instantly vaporize into a cloud of deliciousness, infusing the food with even more deliciousness. The construction is also reinforced with a stainless steel frame, making it a more stable construction than other similar table grills. The sturdy grill grate also has small recessed spikes in each corner, so it stays firmly in place even when you're poking with your incredibly flexible De Buyer tweezers. The grill is 40 x 26cm large and 21cm high. The grill surface is 37 x 23cm and suitable for 2-4 people.
