Karu 16 is Ooni's latest product development. An updated improved version of the Ooni Pro powered by wood/coal. The oven is compatible with the "Ooni gas burner" which is purchased separately for the option of running the oven with gas. The oven door measures 16", approx. 40 cm and the back surface is 45 x 45 cm. The Karu 16 has an updated glass hatch in the front from previous models with ViewFlame ™ technology for better visibility when firing. In addition to an updated front door, the oven also has an integrated digital thermometer that shows the temperature inside the oven. The oven is made of stainless steel with a powder-coated outer enamel in carbon steel to reduce the risk of colour changes and scratches, as well as well-measured insulation inside the "body". Karu 16 also has a chimney where you can adjust the air flow and a tailgate for filling up with wood/coal. Inside the oven are two 15 mm thick pizza stones in cordierite ceramic. The heating time to 500°C is approximately 15 minutes with wood/coal. The oven comes complete with body, chimney, pizza stone, front and back door, thermometer (batteries included), firewood/coal container and instruction manual.
