About Zorbit. Zorbit (also known as N-Zorbit) is a maltodextrin that is produced from tapioca starch. It has been treated to obtain a low density and broken down into a fine powder. Evidence of the low density is the size of the pack which, compared to the other 250g products we sell, is more like a bucket than a can. Thanks to the low density and the large contact surface, it is suitable for making dry powders and pastes from oils, fats and other liquids. It has a slightly sweetening effect and adds no calories. Use Zorbit is a very fine-grained powder that is easily soluble in both cold and hot liquids. If you mix it with oils (2 parts for every part oil) it becomes a coarser powder that dissolves easily in aqueous liquids. It can also be mixed with fats to create dry powders, such as white chocolate powder for sprinkling over desserts and truffles. Also excellent for making edible 'soil' or for creating powder from olive oil to sprinkle over salads. Watch our videos below from our collaboration with Special Ingredients.
