Pre-use
- It has been coated with beeswax to protect it from rust. Remove this layer with plenty of warm water before using it. If necessary, wipe with paper towels.
- Then cover the bottom with a neutral oil and heat on medium heat for about 5 minutes. Pour off the oil when it cools and wipe off any excess oil with kitchen paper. Repeat the process again so that it gets a protective layer.
