    • About Tartaric Acid (E334)

      Our tartaric acid is of high quality and has multiple applications. Use it for the tart taste, as an emulsifier, as a bulking agent, and more. Use it in jams and marmalades as the sugar along with the tartaric acid causes the pectin in the fruit to solidify. It is also used for its preservative effect.

      A fun application is to mix 3 grams of tartaric acid with 3 grams of lactic acid in 96 grams of water. It gives a taste reminiscent of bubbles - the same acids are prominent. Use as a tart ingredient in cocktails for a different flavor.
      Use

      As needed. For jams and marmalades - expect between 2 and 6 grams per kilogram of preserves. It works out easily.
