    • Because a wok is meant to be used with a gas burner and get a lot of heat all over the entire vessel, they are often round at the bottom. Joyce Chen was active in the United States, spreading Chinese cooking far and wide. Both at her restaurant but also through her television program Joyce Chen Cooks, which began in 1967 and shared a studio with The French CHef where Julia Child cooked. Her style was characterized by simplification and adaptation, such as the wok pan where she developed a model with a flat bottom to work on a stove, and another great achievement was the introduction of numbers on the menu to avoid any confusion between languages.

      What works even better than a wok pan on a regular stove, in our opinion, is a Stir Fry pan, which is a pan with slightly higher edges that provides more high heat cooking surface than a funnel-shaped wok on a conventional stove. What's more, you don't have to worry about the sensitivity of the induction hob, it will know the pan is there. The pan is made of carbon steel to the highest standards. Handle in heat-resistant phenolic plastic. Works on all heat sources.
