The Santoku is a handy and slightly smaller Japanese chef's knife for smaller tasks in the kitchen. With its high blade and rounded tip, it is very well suited for vegetables, meat and poultry. The dimple sharpening prevents ingredients from sticking to the blade as the dimples allow air into the cut.
Super Gou is a knife series with an impressive 161 layers of steel. The core is made of the Japanese SG2 Micro Carbide powder steel and is surrounded by 160 layers of softer steel. The powder steel contains a high percentage of carbon and is used because it is clean and strong, which in turn allows the edge to be sharpened to a razor-sharp edge.
The blade has a fascinating Damascus design that signals the knife's high quality. The red-black handle is made of durable Canvas-Mikarta.
