Cylindrical pepper mill in vintage gray stained beech with five decorative steel rings. All Zassenhaus spice mills have a virtually indestructible ceramic grinder. The ceramic mill is hardened at 1700 degrees, making it harder and more durable than steel. In fact, the only material harder than ceramic is diamond.
