Borosilicate glass cup designed for rapid infusion of cocktails and liquids.
Pumping air out of a closed vessel in this way creates a negative pressure that accelerates the rate at which flavors are extracted. In a short amount of time, you can get much more flavorful infusions than you could without it. You may be familiar with the siphon rapid infusion technique where increasing the pressure pushes the liquid in, this technique works more like infusing with a chamber vacuum machine. Although with a manual pump you do not reach the high pressures you can create with a machine, this gives you the opportunity to experiment with the technique in a cheaper way.
You can of course use a regular vacuum pump for a wine bottle and fill a regular bottle with liquid and aroma, but the big advantage of this one is that you can easily put in and take out larger ingredients - and even serve from it!
