Satake has developed a meat press that is perfect for meat and hamburgers. Unlike many other meat presses, this one is completely flat on the underside, which is perfect for smash burgers. Baking paper or greaseproof paper is used between the press and the meat so nothing sticks. Smash Burger's tip - Heat up a cast iron griddle or griddle and place a round unseasoned ball of coarsely ground prime rib. Press with the Satake Smash Burger Press with some parchment paper between the meat and the press. Take a firm grip and flatten the burgers completely. Season generously with salt and pepper and let the underside "burn on" for a really nice surface. Scrape off with a good thin spatula and turn once. Season the other side and fry until done. Top with cheese and serve immediately. This meat press in cast iron with burnt wooden handle is of course also perfect for other details.
