Stainless steel frying pan made in Fesches-le-Châtel in eastern France.
The 1826 series frying pans have a thick three-layer base, with induction base, aluminum and 18/10 steel on the inside. The bottom has a fast and even heat distribution and the design allows the pan to stay hot for a long time on the table. The pot has a brushed finish and is of a strong and high quality. The rim is folded for easy pouring from them. The handles are riveted on and release the heat, making them easy to work with at the stove. The pots are easily stacked in the cabinet to take up minimal space.
Compatible with all heat sources including induction. Oven and dishwasher safe.
The slightly conical shape of the 1826 series pans goes back to the design of the world's very first saucepan (unlike the larger pots used until then which were not entirely suitable for making bechamel, churning butter, boiling peas or heating substitutes). This was produced in 1826 on the same site where the Cristel factory makes its pots today. The entire 1826 series is inspired by the very first pots the world saw. The design is 200 years old and is made to last for at least another 200 years. The pans are entirely made in France from mostly recycled materials, and are 100% recyclable if for some inexplicable reason you should dispose of them.
