Really retro, hand-cranked coffee grinder from German Zassenhaus!
Zassenhaus is considered one of the world's best grinder manufacturers. Zassenhaus coffee grinders have a high quality mill made of steel and it is easy to adjust according to how finely or coarsely ground coffee you want. Unlike many other coffee grinders on the market, Zassenhaus grinders have a stepless setting.
Zassenhaus grinders are virtually indestructible and come with a 25-year warranty on the grinder. All Zassenhaus coffee grinders are manual grinders, because when it comes to releasing the aromas from the coffee beans, a manual grinder has a good advantage over the electric grinders. The rapidly rotating blades of an electric model give off heat, which can affect the flavor of the coffee.
The collection box in Zassenhaus grinders holds about 5-6 cups of brewed coffee.
Cleaning:
We recommend that you periodically clean the grinder. Use ordinary dry matrix, pour about 1/2 dl into the grinder and then grind through on a fairly fine setting. This effectively cleans the grooves in the grinder. You can also open and set the grinder to the coarsest setting and take a small hobby brush and brush clean.
It is important never to use water when cleaning because you do not get to dry properly and then you risk the grinder rusting.
