The Brewista scale has been updated and is now rechargeable and can withstand moisture within reason, can be wet-dried but is not PADI rated.
It has six built-in programs:
Auto 1: For espresso. Put the cup on the scale and it resets and the timer starts ticking.
Auto 2: For espresso. Put the cup on the scale and it is reset. Start the timer yourself. When you remove the cup, everything resets itself.
Auto 3: For espresso. Put the cup on the scale and it is tared. Use the espresso machine's own timer if it has one.
Auto 4: For espresso. Put the cup on the scale and tare it. When the espresso starts flowing into the cup, the timer starts automatically and you can follow the weight live.
Hand 1: For hand brew. Put the desired gadgets on the scale and it resets. Pour your ground coffee and you can see the weight for three seconds before it resets itself. When you start pouring water, the timer starts. When you remove the equipment, both timer and weight are reset.
Hand 2: For hand brewing. Control the tare and timer yourself.
