Wine Saver shouldn't need an introduction, but since we like to post about items we love, here's one anyway. This is the original vacuum pump for wine bottles. The patent application was filed back in the 1980s and the principle is that you put a silicone cork with a small valve on an opened wine bottle. Using a pump, you draw the oxygen out of the bottle and the wine lasts a little longer than it would if it had to contend with a lot of oxygen, as if you had just put on a cork, for example. This variant is made of stainless steel which is much nicer than the plastic original.
