Intense is the tallest glass in Zieher's Vision range, almost thirty centimetres tall with room for over six decilitres, and it's made for wines with a lot of everything: powerful, full-bodied reds and whites, rustic wines with high acidity and young or middle-aged Bordeaux that need air to show what they're made of.
The bowl is wide at the base and narrows towards the opening. The base is shaped like a wave that increases the wine's surface area exposed to the air, so the wine aerates and opens up faster, and the narrowing neck then gathers the aroma and concentrates it towards the nose. That makes the glass an excellent choice for wines that would otherwise have been decanted, or that have already spent some time in the carafe.
Intense is part of the Vision range, where the glasses aren't divided into red and white but named after the character of the wine. The glasses are mouth-blown by hand in lead-free crystal glass, and we recommend hand washing to keep them sparkling. Two glasses per pack.
