The unit measures 79 × 79 × 16 mm and has a 2.8-inch FSTN LCD with adjustable RGB backlighting. It connects directly to your WiFi network and communicates via Bluetooth 5.4 with up to four Combustion Predictive Thermometers at the same time, without your phone needing to be nearby. The screen shows core temperature, surface temperature and ambient temperature from each connected thermometer in real time, plus a countdown to the correct result based on the thermometer’s Physics-based Prediction Engine™. Insert the thermometer, set the target temperature directly on the display and put your phone away.
When connected to WiFi, MeatNet™ Cloud is activated, allowing you to follow the cooking process in the Combustion app from anywhere in the world. The display also works as a Bluetooth signal booster and extends the thermometer’s range by a further 100 metres per unit, making the system useful in large gardens, on jetties and patios, and in commercial environments. The built-in magnet holds with 27 newtons of pull force, enough to stay firmly in place on a refrigerator door, oven door or the outside of a barbecue trolley in windy conditions. Battery life is 28 days under normal operation with WiFi enabled, and up to 6 months in storage without charging.
There is a built-in kitchen timer, independent of the thermometer function, and an alarm below 63 dBA at a distance of one metre when the target temperature has been reached. The display and software support Celsius and Fahrenheit. The unit is CE certified and approved under a Food Contact Declaration.
WiFi Display is sold separately and is also included in the Wireless Thermometer with WiFi Display package. Requires a Combustion Predictive Thermometer, sold separately. WiFi functionality and cloud monitoring require the Combustion app, available free for iOS, Android and macOS. As a local display within Bluetooth range, it works without the app and without a network connection.
