France is a world leader in stacking things on top of each other: forms, copies of forms, stamps on the copies of forms. These glasses stack too, but without anyone having to fill anything in in triplicate first.
Cédrat is a modern take on the classic tumbler, designed by La Racine for French glassmaker La Rochère, which has been making glass in Passavant-la-Rochère since 1475. The glasses are made of durable pressed glass and shaped to stack inside each other, so they take up little space in the cupboard. Just as good for water and juice as for wine or a cold lemonade. The name comes from cédrat, the citron – the large, knobbly citrus fruit whose peel becomes candied peel in fruitcake.
Six glasses per pack. Capacity 27 cl, height 9 cm, diameter 8.5 cm. Dishwasher safe. Made in France.
