Tequila & mezcal - deals with the background of the spirit, goes through and explains a number of different types of tequila and mezcal that are available on the Swedish market and that we like, basic things to consider in the home bar and not least some 60 really good cocktail recipes.
"We have worked together for a long time. And traveled a lot. Often to New York where we, like many others, have fallen in love with the city. New York is cool and magical, and it was here that we really discovered mezcal and tequila. Amongst countless bottles of liquor, in respected cocktail bars, discotheques and dive bars, we've become very good friends, shaking drinks and getting drunk. And somewhere in the middle of it all, we found what would lead us to travel to Mexico. We went to satisfy a curiosity, expecting one of the most dangerous countries in the world, but found a place we could never have imagined."
In recent years, there has been talk about the agave and its place in the fine dining room: We think you should let the tequila and the mezcal into both the fine dining room and the living room.
We want to convey and share what is closest to our hearts. And as we usually say; at the end of the day, it's only laughter, emotion and skin on the nose that counts.

Josephine Sondlo and Madeleine Rapp started working together at Kåken and then opened the bar at Svartengrens, which they ran together for almost two years. Madeleine was named Bartender of the Year in 2013. Together they travel, eat, drink and get inspired almost every day.
