Staub's teapot is cast in France and works as both kettle and teapot. Heat the water right on the hob, then let the tea steep in the same pot. Under the knob on the lid is a hook where you can hang a tea infuser. Cast iron holds heat for a long time, so the second cup is almost as hot as the first.
The interior is enamelled in matt black and the exterior in a deep dark blue. The stainless steel handle keeps the lid in place as you pour but gets hot on the hob, so keep an oven glove handy. Capacity 1.15 litres. Diameter 16 cm, height 18 cm, weight 2.1 kg. Works on all hobs including induction and is dishwasher safe. Also available in other colours.
