Cast mould in aluminium alloy for taiyaki, the classic Japanese street food shaped like a sea bream. With the detachable handle you hold the mould over a gas flame and flip it to cook both sides, just as at the small stalls selling taiyaki outside Japanese department stores and at temple entrances. The mould holds two fish at once and the fluorine-coated interior releases them easily without sticking or breaking.
Fill with anko (sweet red bean paste), pastry cream, chocolate or cheese and ham. The batter is the same as for waffles or pancakes. Suitable for gas hob. Cannot be used on induction or electric hob.
