Giovannoni, born in 1954 in La Spezia and one of the founders of the Bolidista movement, has worked with Alessi for decades. His signature is an ability to move between the playful and the strictly minimalist without losing the attention of either camp. SG43 belongs to the latter: a round tray in mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel, 33 cm in diameter. No protruding edges, no pattern competing with what is placed on it. Just form and material.
The mirrored surface reflects the plate, the glass and the light from the table. It gives the setting a depth it would otherwise lack. Dishwasher safe and suitable for engraving for anyone who wants to make it personal.
