Since 1829, the small town of Laguiole in Aveyron in southwest France has been producing what many consider to be the world's best corkscrews and food knives. Just as when production began, each knife is still made entirely by hand by highly skilled and experienced craftsmen. The little bee, placed between the handle and the blade, has become the company's trademark and has made them famous all over the world.
This is an exclusive set of six traditional dinner knives with the handle made from the wood of the tuja tree, usually native to North Africa and Spain. Tuja is a low and slow-growing tree which, thanks to its beautiful interior, makes a very decorative handle for the knives. Each piece of wood is carefully selected by Laguiole's artisans before being shaped by hand.
The knife blades are 11 cm long, the whole knife 23.5 cm, and are made of T12 stainless steel, specially designed and developed by Laguiole. The steel is very durable and keeps its sharpness for a long time.
The knives are packed in a gift box and of course with a certificate of authenticity.
