JKC AUS8 is a three-layer knife where the core steel is in quality AUS8. The blade is very thin which gives an extreme feeling of sharpness. At the bottom of the edge, the difference between the core and the surrounding steel appears like a samurai sword. This line is called Hamono in Japanese. The hilt is made of black packing wood with rivets attached through the solid steel. The center rivet has a mosaic pin with a family crest.
