Combustion Inc. specialises in cooking thermometers, and now the second generation of the "Predictive Thermometer" has arrived – a smart wireless thermometer for demanding home cooks and pros alike. The probe has eight evenly spaced sensors for pinpoint temperature and cooking control.
The thermometer picks up the coldest point in your food via four "TrueCore® sensors", measures surface temperature with three "TrueSurface™ sensors", and also has a "TrueAmbient™ sensor" that isolates the air temperature around the food. That's a lot of fancy American terminology just to say it measures brilliantly. With so many data points, it's also much easier to see exactly when your food is done, straight from the app.
The probe is hermetically sealed (IP69K) and withstands temperatures up to 482 °C (900 °F). It's vacuum-safe – ready for sous vide, grilling, frying and high-heat searing.
What's new in 2nd Gen
• Metal soldering for a fully hermetic seal, significantly boosting durability.
• Extended temperature range – up to 482 °C.
• Improved sensor placement for faster, more accurate ambient readings.
Specs at a glance
• Accuracy: from ±0.2 °C at low temperatures, up to ±4.5 °C at extremely high temperatures.
