Top quality stainless steel saucepan with lid from Belgian Demeyere. The saucepan has a really sturdy sandwich base consisting of 7 layers of aluminum, copper and stainless steel, which in itself provides excellent frying properties, heat distribution and heat retention: the heat is always evenly distributed over the entire surface. Designed to retain as much heat as possible at the bottom, rather than heating the surrounding air, to improve and speed up cooking. All Demeyere pans are treated with Silvinox, a unique method of purifying the steel. It produces a steel that is so clean that the surface feels as easy to clean as a Teflon-coated pan. Works on all heat sources including induction. Also withstands oven heat.
