Chopping board in HDPE500, a hard plastic that does not absorb moisture, odours or bacteria in cut surfaces the way wood does, and that withstands cleaning with hot solutions and sanitation. The footprint is 500×400 mm on both variants; the difference is the thickness: 50 mm (9.5 kg) for cutting and portioning under normal load, 80 mm (15.2 kg) for heavier work with a meat mallet or cleaver where the mass of the block absorbs the impact and provides more material to resurface when the surface is cut up.
