A French lunch starts at noon and ends at some point after nobody can remember why they sat down. That calls for plenty of liquid, and this is where the pitcher comes in. It holds two and a half litres, enough water for the whole table, a proper batch of lemonade or a jug of sangria that nobody needs to top up after half an hour.
Parisien comes from La Rochère, which has been making glass since 1475, and is mouth-blown in clear, thin crystalline glass. The shape is simple and timeless, made to stand in the middle of the table without taking over. As each pitcher is blown by hand, small variations may occur, and that's part of the charm.
Capacity 2.5 litres. Height 23.5 cm, diameter 16 cm. Wash by hand.
