    • Piment d'Espelette is the only French spice with a protected designation of origin (AOP) and has been a cornerstone of Basque cuisine since the 17th century. Grown exclusively in a small area in south-west France, this red chilli pepper delivers a fruity, aromatic heat that is mild enough to use generously - yet complex enough to elevate an entire dish.

      The flavour profile is reminiscent of tomato, paprika and toasted bread, with a pleasant, lingering heat that never takes over. Perfect as a finishing spice on fish and seafood, meat, eggs, soups and stews - or simply as a table seasoning in place of black pepper.

      Ferme Nahia was awarded a silver medal at the Concours Général Agricole 2013 and is regarded by chefs and food lovers as one of the finest options on the market.

      Tip: Always add Piment d'Espelette after cooking to preserve the volatile aromas. Store opened packaging in the fridge.
