Petits fours are the miniatures of French patisserie, bakes meant to be eaten in one or two bites and ideally looking like jewellery. This one is boat-shaped, barquette in French, and suits everything from almond paste to small savoury bites. The mould is sold individually, so you can mix shapes and build your own assortment.
The coating is a two-layer, PFAS-free non-stick that Gobel describes as one of the thickest around, so even the smallest cakes release without butter. The mould handles 250°C and is made in France by Gobel, who have been making bakeware since 1887.
