Cooking chips in a convection oven without oil requires air to reach the product from below, not just from above. That is what the ribbed base and 7×7 mm mesh solves: chips or root vegetables are lifted off the surface, circulating air reaches around the entire product and the surface has time to become crispy without sticking. Reinforced base, rated up to 200°C.
