Developing the design for this coffee maker is described by Alessi as one of the most time-consuming and complex projects. The work has been going on for several years and, in addition to 200 fully functional prototypes, a book has been published on the subject. Designer Riccardo Dalisi has worked hard to produce the best and most well-made Neapolitan coffee maker possible, and we can't help but be impressed by the craftsmanship.
The design and brewing method is slightly different from a regular moka maker, when you brew you have the coffee maker upside down on the plate. When the coffee is finished brewing, you turn it back and you have a beautiful serving jug.
The coffee maker is made of stainless steel with a walnut handle - and it works on an induction stove. Should be washed by hand.
