The knife blades are made of carbon steel and have been sharpened at a very steep angle, resulting in very sharp knives. Carbon steel knives need sharpening more often than regular steel knives, but on the other hand, they can be made much sharper than steel knives. The blades are shaped like a laurel leaf and will develop a beautiful patina over time.
Remember that carbon steel rusts, so never leave the knives soaking and do not wash them in the dishwasher. Wipe them dry between each use!
The handle is made of durable boxwood. The knife reel is made of fabric, has room for the three knives and is tied together with a string.
