About the salt stone
Salt stone made from 100% natural crystal salt from the Himalayan mountains. The stone is completely natural - no chemicals or other additives have been used in its production. With the stone, you can add a lovely salty touch to your food in a way that is both stylish and practical! It can be used for both cold and hot preparations.
A heated salt stone can be used at the dining table to cook small pieces of fish or meat.
The salt stone can be heated in different ways and keeps the temperature for about 20 minutes.
The salt acts as a non-stick surface, which makes it very easy to cook food on the stone.

Start heating the salt stone at a low temperature. After 30 minutes the heat can be increased and after about 45 minutes the stone is ready for use. - Oven
The salt stone can also be used in the oven but it must not be preheated, as there is a risk of the salt stone cracking. Increase the heat to 60°C, then increase the temperature every 20 minutes for 1 hour. Max temp: 180°C.
Cooled Salt Stone
Place the salt stone in the freezer and after about 30 minutes it is ready to be served on carpaccio, sushi or sashimi. Cold desserts can also be served on a cooled salt stone.
Care
After the salt stone has cooled, it should be rinsed and dried thoroughly. Due to the antibacterial properties of salt, no detergent is needed. Too much water causes growing cracks in the stone and should therefore never be placed in a dishwasher. Allow the salt stone to dry thoroughly before next use (about 24h). Additional information: Salt melts at 800°C.
