The Fellow Stagg EKG has long been our favorite among kettles thanks to its great design and precision. Here is the PRO version.
Actually, there is nothing more to be desired from the aforementioned EKG, yet this one is incredibly much better! Just like its predecessor, you set the temperature exactly to the degree (between 40°-100°C) and keep it there for an hour. However, here you can do so much more.
With the EKG Pro, you can set a timer on the kettle that makes the water ready with 94°C at 07:00 when the bell rings. Although it heats the water incredibly quickly, it's a wonderful feeling to walk into the kitchen in the morning and find everything prepared for brewing. For those who are unsure of what this exact temperature should be for the bag you have at home right now, it is easy to take part in Fellows' own guide that helps you choose the right degree number. Should you go on vacation to Nairobi or the Andes or something like that and take the kettle with you, just set the altitude you are at and the kettle will adjust and compensate for the temperature effect of air pressure (finally someone has solved that problem!). If you think that one hour is far too long to keep the water warm, you can also adjust the time to 15, 30 or 45 minutes.
If you wish, you can set a pleasant sound signal when the water reaches the desired temperature. This signal can be easily adjusted in volume according to personal preferences. Choose the temperature unit between Celsius and Fahrenheit. You can also set it so that the water boils first and then rings when it reaches the desired temperature. Choose between English, French and Spanish as the preferred language on display and choose between digital or analog clock displayed. The display is in full color.
All these settings and choices can be easily adjusted in the app that connects via wifi to your kettle. You cannot turn the kettle on and off via the app, probably a security regulation from people working in Brussels... However, you can update to the latest software via the app and make sure you always have the latest and best settings for your kettle.
