Mold for making your own ice balls - completely transparent! Clear ice is the top ten most fun phenomenon in the world according to a recent survey (conducted in the KitchenLab lunchroom). With this mold, not only do you cast clear ice, you also get it in a geometric shape that also makes the top ten list in the same survey, namely ball.
A spherical ice cube in the glass looks undeniably more sophisticated and elegant. A completely clear ice cube does not make the experience any more attractive. The mold is made of plastic with insulation which allows the water to freeze from the top down. All the air particles in the water is what gets cloudy in the thick ice you cast today. In this clever design, the cloudy stuff stays at the bottom while you get completely clear ice at the top. The sphere itself is housed in a silicone insert that you can easily take out and twist a little to get the ice balls out.
The balls measure 6 cm in diameter. Available in two versions, cast one ball or two balls in the piece.
