The ribbed griddle is the variant where fat drainage and grill marks are the point. The ribs lead fat away from the meat surface during cooking, giving a drier surface and the characteristic grill lines. Typical applications are burgers, sausages and other charcuterie with a high fat content.
The griddle plate is 518×330 mm and made of 8 mm hardened steel, a material thickness that gives good heat capacity and holds the temperature even when colder ingredients are placed on it. The temperature is continuously adjustable up to 300°C. The housing is stainless steel with splash guards and a removable drip tray for fat and food residue.
The plate is cleaned with a steel brush or scraper. There is an overheating protection with a resettable safety switch and a power switch with indicator lamp.
