The OVOBOX 120 is a sealable container in transparent polypropylene designed specifically for that purpose: the eggs are kept in their own trays, the lid is closed, and the container is placed in the cold room without contact with the surroundings.
The container is in GN 2/3 format (355×325×H200 mm) and fits standard refrigeration furniture. The set includes container, lid and 8 polystyrene egg trays. Each tray holds 30 eggs (5×6 rows) and is placed in the container alternately, rotated 90 degrees, for stability when stacking. Four trays at a time fit in the container, giving a capacity of 120 eggs per round. Profiled cut-outs on the short sides of the tray make it easy to lift individual trays out of the container.
Withstands temperatures between −40°C and +80°C. Container and lid are dishwasher safe. Additional trays in sets of 4 are available to purchase separately. Eggs should be sterilised before being placed on the trays to prevent salmonella contamination where relevant.
