A modern interpretation of the classic wine carafe. The undulating silhouette is familiar, but the handcrafted handle - with enclosed colored glass mass in a yellow hue - adds a unique visual touch while serving as a practical grip. The carafe holds 750 ml, the equivalent of a standard bottle of wine.
All parts are made of crystal glass, mouth-blown by Riedel's skilled craftsmen. As each carafe is shaped by hand, slight variations in size, weight and surface may occur, as well as air bubbles or other details inherent to the manufacturing method. The decanter is not dishwasher safe - use warm water and a bottle brush for cleaning.
Like other Riedel decanters, it is designed to allow both young and aged wines to develop - either by softening the tightness or separating the bottom set. A functional decanter with a distinctive shape, as useful at dinner as at the wine tasting.
