In a professional kitchen, nothing on the worktop is there by accident. The height of the work surface, the angle of your shoulders, the pressure behind a cut. These are things you notice after an hour, not after ten minutes. A chopping board placed directly on the worktop sets the conditions without you even realising it. Hasegawa’s FLF risers change them.
Since 1992, Hasegawa has manufactured the chopping boards chosen by professional kitchens around the world when hygiene and durability are non-negotiable. The FLF series is their system for positioning the board at the right height and keeping it clear of the work surface.
These risers attach along the edges of the board and raise it 20 to 150 millimetres above the surface below. This solves two problems at once. Ergonomics: raising the board changes your working position and the force behind each cut, something particularly noticeable for taller users or anyone working at a low counter. Hygiene: a board with air circulating underneath can dry properly and avoids direct contact with moisture on the work surface. Elastomer feet keep the board firmly in place while you work. The material is polyethylene. Dishwasher-safe and resistant to cleaning agents. Made in Agawa, Kochi Prefecture, Japan.
The FLF series is available in five heights and three lengths, matched to the width of the chopping board. Each board requires at least two risers. See the individual variant for exact dimensions and the recommended number according to the size of the board.
A small thing. A noticeable difference.
