Sustainapouch vacuum rolls are the solution for those who want to reduce plastic consumption without compromising on function. The rolls are made of certified home-compostable film based on rice, corn, potatoes and a fossil copolymer, with high transparency and strong weldability.
The material is designed to withstand sous vide cooking up to 85°C for up to 12 hours - without swelling, delaminating or leaking - something that few other compostable materials can do. The texture is embossed, making them suitable for standard external vacuum packers, as opposed to chamber-compatible plain bags.
The clarity of the material makes it easy to see what you've packed, and its strength protects food from freezer burn and liquid loss.
Please note that these rolls must not be microwaved or boiled. They do not work in chamber vacuum machines but are specifically designed for external vacuum sealers.
Composting occurs naturally in both industrial and home compost. In a marine environment, the material breaks down into granular biomass in about 26 weeks.
