Udon are the heavyweights of the noodle world: thick, soft, slippery and with a knack for sliding out of ordinary chopsticks just as they're heading for your mouth. Add a deep bowl of hot broth and you'll see why Kawai has made a pair of chopsticks just for this.
The chopsticks are part of Kawai's Kodawari range, where each pair is designed for a particular kind of food, and these are made for udon and donburi – Japanese rice bowls with toppings. Kawai is based in Obama in Fukui and has been making chopsticks since 1943.
Made of wood with a lacquered finish, 23 cm long and made in Japan. Wash by hand.
