30 DAYS OPEN PURCHASECast iron teapots have a long tradition, not least in Japan. This one from Staub builds on the same idea, but with French enamel and a shape that feels at home in a European kitchen.
The pot works as both kettle and teapot. Heat the water right on the hob, hang a tea infuser from the hook under the knob on the lid, and let the tea steep in the same vessel. Cast iron holds heat for a long time, so the pot can sit on the table for a good while before the tea cools.
Black exterior and matt black enamel inside. The stainless steel handle keeps the lid in place as you pour but gets hot on the hob, so keep an oven glove nearby. Capacity 1.15 litres. Diameter 16 cm, height 18 cm, weight 2.1 kg. Works on all hobs including induction and is dishwasher safe. Made in France.
