BeeSkin's beeswax roll comes in the "Flower Design" pattern and is 30 cm wide and 95 cm long.
With the Beeskin beeswax roll, food can be packaged in an environmentally friendly way so that the same function as plastic wrap is achieved without the unnecessary one-time consumption of plastic! As an alternative to conventional packaging materials such as plastic and aluminum, they consist of purely organic materials that are strictly controlled and certified. All ingredients - for consistent sustainability - are sourced from Europe. The beeswax used is purchased exclusively from German beekeepers and the organic cotton cloths are made in Germany. Tina Sauer, who founded Beeskin in 2018, has set herself the goal of establishing a sustainable alternative to plastic with her cloths, which are manually produced in Berlin, on machines developed in-house, with her small team that attaches great importance to sustainability and consistent certification. Beeskin is available in Germany online and at selected retailers around the country, as well as in Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Italy and now Sweden.
Beeskin uses 100% European ingredients and produces, packs and ships everything from Berlin, Germany.
Beeskin's beeswax roll is made of:
1. Cotton cloths (GOTS certified organic cotton to the highest standard) - is the base
2. Beeswax from Germany (tested for contaminants and pesticides) - is the coating
3. Wood resin - so that the cloth forms better
4. Jojoba oil (organic) - to keep the cloth soft
Beeskin - a sustainable alternative to plastic film
Did you know that we use an average of 100 meters of plastic film per household/year? Is that reasonable? That's a staggering amount of plastic - a material we try to reduce in our everyday life.
Plastic waste is a major problem in the world and sustainable alternatives are high on the wish list. Thanks to an environmentally and health-conscious start-up from Berlin, we can now do without plastic film. Beeskin is the name of a natural, sustainable and reusable alternative for packaging food. These beeswax cloths not only save plastic, but also keep food fresh for longer thanks to their breathable and antibacterial properties, and have a faint and natural honey scent. Beeskin's beeswax cloths can be used for up to a year - with a 1-year warranty - and can also be recycled in an environmentally friendly way.
