Classic banneton basket for sourdough bread in braided willow. Using a basket gives the dough stability during fermentation and ensures consistent results on loaves. The cotton cloth keeps the basket fresh and clean, reducing the risk of flour beetles and dried-out dough residues from previous baking. Since the basket is made of wood, it is not suitable for washing with water but is cleaned with a dry brush, which can sometimes leave something to be desired.
The cotton cloth can be washed at 30°C. The basket is available in several sizes:
Oval:
27.5 x 14cm - fits 750-1500g of dough.
39,5 x 15,4 cm - suitable for 1500-2000g dough.
33.5 x 20.5 cm - suitable for 1500-2000g of dough.
Round:
17,5 cm - suitable for 750-1000g dough.
20,5 cm - suitable for 1000-15000g of dough
24.5 cm - suitable for 1500-2000g of dough
