A sauteuse is like a mix between a saucepan and a frying pan, with all the best qualities of the two vessels combined into one! It often has slightly curved edges, which makes it excellent for frying, or sautéing as it is also called. The curved edge also makes it suitable for use as a sauce pan, as the whisk can easily reach even the bottom corners. Here we have sauteuses from a range of manufacturers in different designs - which one to choose depends a little on how it will be used. Almost all our sauté pans have a thick bottom, which is good because it ensures even distribution and retention of heat.
