The bowl is tapered at the bottom, encouraging a stream of bubbles to rise like a pillar through the glass. This elegant effect is not only visually stunning but also helps to prolong the life of the champagne. The wide middle section of the bowl enhances the aromas, while the narrow opening concentrates the scent towards the nose and directs the liquid to the tip of the tongue, enhancing the perception of sweetness.
